Course Reflective Narrative
WLC 300 helped prepare me for the next steps I was preparing to take in my college career. Not only was I able to further develop my e-portfolio within this course, but I was also able to prepare various documents that would also be required in my e-portfolio. It was in this course that I wrote my personal statement that can be seen on my Home page, and was able to think about next steps after college. With the help of the career advisors on campus, we were exposed to different opportunities present in the area that we could apply to that would be relevant to our areas of study. For example, teaching opportunities as well as information about graduate schools and other professions were provided every other week to give us a wide range of potential routes we wanted to follow after graduation.
It was also in this course that we were required to develop our ILP with our major advisor, which turned out to be extremely helpful in my case to understand what requirements I was and wasn't missing in order to get my degree. My ILP can also be found linked on my Home page.
